Pupil Governors |
Community Action Club |
We feel that it is important for pupils to have the opportunity to voice opinions and have their ideas heard. For this reason we have a Pupil Governing Body. Pupils within each class have the opportunity to apply to become a Pupil Governor to represent their class. Our Pupil Governors change each academic year. The Pupil Governors meet weekly to discuss both school and community issues raised by their peers. It is the job of the Pupil Governors to make things happen and discuss how ideas can be made into reality. The Pupil Governors are enthusiastic, motivated and determined when it comes to generating ideas to solve problems. On a termly basis they attend a governing body meeting, feeding back school issues and producing an annual ‘Pupil Self Evaluation Form’. They also have the opportunity to meet with other schools in Horsham and participate in debates.

Here at Kingslea, we have our own Community Action group run by the Charity Committee. The Charity Committee meet every Monday after school to discuss new and innovative ways to help and support our local and wider community. The committee decide which charities they would like to support and organises money raising events for the selected charities. The Charity Committee are currently supporting and fundraising for Children in Need. The committee also run campaigns throughout the school, the most recent being ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’.
