The Family Links programme is about working together and sharing ideas to help children gain the skills they need to cope with the social aspects of school, and life outside of school such as: understanding another’s point of view, working in a group, sticking at things when they get difficult and managing worries.
When a child has these skills they can learn more effectively. Parents/carers can explore the five sessions of this free programme—put together by the Inclusion Team—at their leisure/convenience. Sessions One through Five can be found on the school website under the Parents and Carers tab.
The Family Links Programme usually takes place in school as a workshop with parents and staff working together. As this cannot be facilitated at this time, parents/carers can send queries or share successes via the [email protected] email (be sure to add Family Links to the subject).
