With such awful weather at the beginning of the term, many of the tournaments were cancelled, re-scheduled and cancelled again! Still the positive attitudes from the children in PE lessons have meant we have been able to spend extra time working on techniques and skills as a class. Fingers crossed the spring term will bring us better weather.

Read the full report here We had a fantastic start to the new sporting year with all of our sports clubs full to capacity. It is so great to see so many eager children taking part in extracurricular clubs right from Year 1 up to Year 6. We are again very lucky to receive help from the Millais Young Leaders and a couple of ex pupils who just love coming back and helping out!
Read the full report here It was a great term for sport, filled with a variety of different sports testing the skills we have been learning. These included batting and fielding games, bowls, tennis and athletics. Kingslea also organised the first ever Primary Schools Sports Awards, held at Millais school, to recognise sporting achievement across Horsham schools. Eight primary schools attended a fantastic evening, which included an inspirational talk by GB Bobsleigh Olympian Greg Cackett and Izzy, a local young triathlete.

Football We started our football campaign on 22nd September in Horsham Park. This was a warm up tournament and we took one Year 3/4 team and one Year 5/6 team. Read the full report here It has been a very busy end to the sporting year. On Friday 7th July we took 40 children to compete at District Sports at Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre.
Read the full report here It was an extremely busy end of the Spring term for Kingslea PE. Horsham District Football Cup Competitions On 10th March Owen, Joe, Lola, Molly, Zach, Callum and Connor represented the school in the Year 4 Football Cup Competition. On an extremely muddy pitch where the ball hardly bounced our players battled right to the very end! Kingslea required penalties over Southwater C to take seventh place in the end – such an exciting end to the competition.
