This is the final newsletter of the academic year. And what a year it has been. I am immensely proud of the achievements of every child and every member of staff. In the Autumn Term we are planning on enhancing our playground and sporting facilities by building a MUGA (Multi Use Games Area), funded through a KLASS donation, Welly Walk money and school fund. The MUGA will allow us to extend our junior playground giving your children a larger area to play in, and a purpose built ball game area, something that we don’t currently have. One of the many strengths of our school is the sense of community. Some of the most memorable events we have are when we get together: be it times when you come into school to share learning with your children, or KLASS organised events such as Firework Night or the Summer Fayre. It’s been a lovely start to the term and it’s wonderful to get out onto the school field at break and lunchtimes. Amongst other things, Reception have been searching for, and identifying, insects in the copse. It was lovely to see Year 1 parents visiting the classrooms for the first of our fortnightly classroom visits. Year 2 have all written and published wonderful adventure stories.
