Dear Parents/Carers
Once again thank you for your incredible efforts to support the school in trying to widen our reopening to children in Years 2 - 5. Yesterday, Heron Way and Kingslea received notification from Jeremy Quin that the DfE clarified their non-statutory guidance to him: they want schools to provide full time education for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 before any opportunity is given to schools to widen the offer further. Please read more here In the current climate, I thought I would write a shorter, more regular newsletter to keep you up-to-date. We are now into the second week of Reception , Year 1 and Year 6 returning to school and, so far, it couldn't have gone any better. The plans we had put in place are running smoothly, children have settled back into school life quickly and it’s lovely to see the learning, playing and socialising.

Well here we are, in a place that none of us could have envisaged a few months ago. Thank you for the emails, photos and videos that you’ve been sending to the year group emails, including all the rainbows you have been creating and putting in your windows.
