Dear Parents, I just wanted to start the newsletter off with thanking all of you for the support that you have given to your children and to the school so far this term; it makes such a huge difference to the feeling, the achievements and the success of every individual child and the school as a whole. Dear Parents, Thank you for the positive feedback from parents’ evening and about the work in the books that we sent home; we are very please with the progress the children are making across all subjects. We do realise that many of you haven’t been into the school building for quite a while or had the chance to visit your child’s classroom. Please click to read more. Dear Parents,
Thank you all for your attendance at parents’ evening over the last two evenings. Along with looking at the books and speaking to teachers, I hope you have a good understanding of the progress your child/ren has made since the Autumn Term. Please click for more details. Dear Parents, It’s been an excellent first few weeks of the Spring Term, with the wide range of learning going on, clubs starting and the children making the most of our playground and facilities. Please click to read more Dear Parents/Carers, I don’t usually start a newsletter with academic achievement but we’ve recently completed our assessment week for this term as well as the national phonics assessments that we are required to do for Y1 (although for this year they were taken by the children when they were in Y2). What the results are showing is that the vast majority of children are working at the level we would have expected them to be working at, Covid interruptions or not.
Please click to read more Dear Parents/Carers, I’m sure you will have seen the poppy display on the bridge over Harwood Road. A number of years ago, as part of our whole school work on WW1, every child in the school painted a poppy. Over the last few years, Reception children have painted their own poppy to add to the wave, which is now displayed on the bridge. If you haven't seen it, please do have a look. Please click for more details. Dear Parents/Carers, Thank you all for attending parents’ evening just before half-term. I hope you found them useful and that you were able to get a good understanding of how your child is doing at school. We are aiming for the Spring 2022 parents’ evening to be in person, so you can see the children’s books and the school, but a decision will be made nearer the time. Click for more details Dear Parents/Carers, Thank you all for a great start to the term. We’ve been very impressed with punctuality, attendance, how well the children have settled into their new year groups and how enthusiastic the children are about their learning. Dear Parents/Carers, Welcome back after the summer break, and a very special welcome to all our new families, whether you are starting in Reception or in other year groups.
